A new and innovative skin rejuvenation treatment. Discover the secret to age-defying skin with Plinest Polynucleotides—your key to rejuvenation and youthful radiance!
A skin rejuvenation treatment that’s making waves in the world of medical aesthetics. This game-changing skin booster contains an amazing ingredient called polynucleotides.
Plinest helps to create firmer, smoother, and more radiant skin, with a more even skin tone.
So, you may ask what are polynucleotides?
Well, they’re bioactive molecules that work wonders for your skin. Polynucleotides are an injectable bio-stimulator that are crafted from purified DNA fragments and encourage collagen and elastin production, two essential proteins within the skin that decrease with age. They work by boosting fibroblast cells, promoting tissue regeneration and restoring skin tone and elasticity. They offer antioxidant and hydrating benefits, alongside bio-remodeling effects, resulting in healthier and more youthful-looking skin. Imagine injecting a dose of rejuvenation into your skin!
One of the great things about polynucleotides is that they provide gradual and natural-looking results. So, you won’t walk out of the clinic with dramatic changes right away, but rather a gradual transformation that enhances your natural beauty. Plus, minimal downtime means you can get back to your busy routine in no time. However, bruising can occur under the eye area, so we do say to give it 2 weeks before any event to ensure any bruises have time to disappear.

Polynucleotides FAQs
+ What exactly is Polynucleotides?
Polynucleotides are bio-compatible and non-immunogenic molecules derived from DNA. In aesthetic treatments, Polynucleotides are renowned for their regenerative properties, promoting tissue repair, fibroblast stimulation and collagen synthesis.
+ The science behind Polynucleotides ...
Polynucleotides are derived from fish DNA, specifically salmon or trout. These special molecules extracted from fish DNA are bioactive and have amazing rejuvenating properties for the skin. The reason why fish DNA is used to create polynucleotides is due to its unique ability to stimulate tissue regeneration and support the healing process. By harnessing the power of fish DNA, PN can promote collagen production, improve skin texture, and enhance elasticity.
+ What is the difference between Polynucleotides and skin-booster injections?
Polynucleotides can hydrate, regenerate, stimulate fibroblasts and collagen production. Skin Boosters despite their ability to hydrate and plump the skin, do not stimulate regeneration of the skin and their results are short-term.
+ Where can I have treatment?
We treat areas of the face, neck and décolletage. One area in particular that we know you’ll all LOVE is this EYE! Not many treatments are suitable around the eye area but PLINEST® have developed a specific product to treat the eye and we are super excited to be able to offer it in clinic.
+ What skin concerns can Polynucleotide treatments address?
Polynucleotides excel in addressing a wide range of concerns, including fine lines, wrinkles, scars, rosacea, inflammation and overall skin quality. They offer a versatile solution suitable for various skin types and concerns.
+ How many treatments do I have to do before seeing results?
It may take four weeks to begin seeing results, but it will be two months after the second treatment before the most noticeable results are visible. We recommend a course of 3 or 4 treatments, 14-21 days apart, to see optimal results.
+ How long do the results of Polynucleotide treatments last?
Results vary from 6 to 9+ months, but it does depend on the age and the skin concerns being treated.
+ How is the Polynucleotide procedure performed?
Polynucleotides are administered through micro-injections that are minimally invasive. Dr Rebecca Hierons has been trained by the best to perform this treatment, ensuring comfort and efficacy.
+ What are risks and side effects?
As with any injection, you can expect your skin to be slightly red and swollen immediately after the PLINEST procedure. You may experience pin-prick bleeding and some itchiness, but it’s important to avoid touching the treated area for at least 12 hours.
+ Aftercare
- Make-up must not be worn for 24 hours post treatment.
- Avoid alcohol and exercise for 24 hours post treatment.
- Avoid swimming for 48 hours post treatment.
- You can wash your face and apply products as normal post treatment but please be gentle for the first 2 weeks.
- Avoid sunbathing, sunbeds and/or saunas for 2 weeks post treatment. These activities have been found to increase and prolong bruising and swelling.
- Following a treatment the area may swell, this is the body’s natural healing response. The first 1-3 days post treatment are usually the worst.
- Bruising may appear immediately or take a few days to appear. Bruising generally resolves within 2 weeks but around the eye area it will take longer as this area has a poor lymphatic system.
- Arnica cream or gel may help to reduce bruises faster.
- Please avoid taking Ibuprofen and alcohol for 48 hours after treatment, as this can increase bruising.
- Always wear a high SPF to protect your skin.
